Well. Canadian rapper Drake is one musician constantly in the orbit of people’s thoughts. The Grammy winner is justly recognised for his contributions to global pop culture, his raps, and for elevating other musicians. But should he figure in the top 10 greatest rappers of all time?
That’s one question that has left much of the world divided, with some people saying yes and others disputing he should be among the top 10.
One man who thinks Drake is not a top 10 is hip hop “pioneer” Melle Mel. Billboard might pedestalize Drake, but Mel insists that Drake is not a top 10 figure – not among the top 10 greatest rappers of all time. He admitted he doesn’t listen to music a lot but hears what he hears at the club
Despite this controversial opinion about Drake’s greatness, he was generous in other areas, noting that the Canadian writes good songs and is generally a good musician.
Drake is yet to react to Mel’s verdict. But would he?
