Canadian rapper Tory Lanez has been slammed with a felony charge in the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion in July this year.
In an incident that month, the “Numbers Ou The Gym” songster had allegedly shot Megan thee Stallion in the feet. He denied the shooting, however.
Megan Thee Stallion is adamant Tory Lanez actually shot her. She had been reluctant to accuse him at first, but spilled the tea recently, accusing Lanez’s media team of feeding rubbish to blogs regarding the shooting.
The shooting incident was one of the themes in Lanez’s newly released eponymous “Daystar” album. Many music watchers had criticized the Canadian for using the incident to sell the project.
Following his felony charge, Tory Lanez had taken to twitter to state that time will redeem him from the charge. He said he has faith in God to bring the truth to light. He thanked his fans and people who had stuck with him all through. He said he appreciates that.
According to him, a charge is not a conviction. In other words, he might not end up in the slammer eventually. The coming weeks should either confirm his optimism or shred it.
By the way, if convicted, Tory Lanez might face up to 22 years in prison.
