Twitter: Mixed Reactions on Elon Musk Take Over — A Shot at Zuckerberg?

Social media has been abuzz since Elon Musk’s planned takeover of Twitter for $44 billion was made public yesterday, Monday, April 25.

Elon Musk had made an initial offer of $43 billion (after buying a 9 per cent stake), but his request was declined and Twitter even adopted the “poison pill” option at some point.

But a consensus was reached and Musk is on his way to becoming the owner of the platform.

Among others, Musk plans to turn Twitter into an open forum without all the censorship that went with the old Twitter.

While some social media users are cool with Musk buying the platform and transforming it into something better than it currently is, others are uneasy about giving such an influential platform to an individual. And yet others think that if Musk could easily buy the platform, then he should be tasked as the truly wealthy man that he is.

There were those who think that Musk’s purchase of Twitter would be a big slap on Mark Zuckerberg and  Facebook, which they call a propaganda platform.

Some think it a big problem that Musk, another ultra-wealthy individual, should control Twitter. They cited how the wealthy are buying up all the media of consequence and invariably controlling all the information people consume.
