Fans of the hit soapie “Umkhokha: The Curse” are not happy with Kwanele Mthethwa as Nobuntu and have called for Kwezi Ndlovu’s return to the show.
It can be tricky to replace an actor or an actress who has become a fan favorite playing a character in a show. Producers of “Umkhokha: The Curse” may have a lot to deal with after replaying Kwezi Ndlovu, who plays Nobuntu with Kwanele Mthethwa.
After the replacement was announced last year, fans waited patiently to see how well Mthethwa would perform. At the time, Fakaza reported that Ndlovu was heavy with her first child. She has yet to reveal the identity of her hubby to the public.
A source for Zimoja told the publication, “Her career is booming, and her love life is also flourishing. She is on top of the world. Everything seems to be going well for her.” She took a break from the show because her baby is due sometime this year.
Fans are not impressed by Mthethwa’s performance as Nobuntu. They have called for Ndlovu’s return. Some have called the actress boring and compared her to Ndlovu. One user wrote, “She’s too boring. shame old Nobuntu would have really enjoyed her date with her crush Ndoda.”
