Unathi has exited the reality show Idols SA as one of its judges; she also bid a farewell to the show, leaving some peeps emotional.
Unathi has been a judge on the reality show for 11. So her exit means a lot to not just her admirers and fans but to the dhow generally.
In a post to Instagram, she had described herself as a village girl who found gold and thanked South Africa for the love shown to her while she was on the beat. She also thanked every contestant who had stood before her and other judges to share their music and their artistic dreams.

the announcement of her exit comes after it was also announced that somizi Mhlongo, who had exited the show earlier as one of the judges, would be returning. Somizi had left after an audio, in which his ex-husband Mohale Motaund claimed he abused him, was leaked.
By the way, besides Unathi, it has also been announced that Randall Abraham, another longtime judge, has exited the judging panel as well.
