For many people, the dream is to be appreciated in their chosen field and well paid, too. But it appears not everyone gets as much as they would love. At least that is the reality of actress Taraji P. Henson.
Apparently, she had suffered in silence for a long time. And now, she couldn’t keep silent anymore. So she spilled things out during an interview, pointing out that she is underpaid and has reached her breaking point. She is tired of working so hard without commensurate benefits.
And with possible retirement looming, her case appears all the more sad. Since the clip of her weeping surfaced online, fans have been trying to cheer her up and assure her that just ahead of her is the triumph she so desires.
By her own account, after she is paid, her team, as well as other ancillary staff, get a 30-percent cut. She isn’t cool with how things have turned out and is even considering quitting acting.
Some of her fans are wondering how she found herself in this position, though, with some asking why she didn’t take charge and negotiate for what she thinks is a fair deal and not the current “pain” she seemingly accepted.
