Vusi Ma R5’s Family Reveal Musician’s Grave Has Been Restored After Vandalization

Months ago, netizens were stunned after pictures surfaced online showing that the late barcadi musician Vusi Ma R5’s grave had been vandalised. The good news now is that it has just been restored.

The news about the restoration of the late musician’s grave was released by his brother Koketso “DJ Cooper” Mosoeu, who also disclosed plans to release new music to keep the late musician’s legacy alive.

The restoration of the grave after it was burned and vandalised months ago was of particular relief to the family, which was seriously distressed over the incident. The vandalisation had occurred just a few weeks after the late musician’s burial.

Vusi Ma R5, whose birth name is Itumeleng Mosoeu, was shot dead just outside Legentsheng in Soshanguve. Pretoria North. His death follows the shooting to death of another famous musician, DJ Sumbody (real name Oupa JHohn Sefoka.)

Both deaths were reportedly linked to gang rivalry, and the killers have never been found despite reported investigations by the authorities. This lack of headway in unearthing the killers has been a source of headache among their fans and South Africans generally, especially as, months later, another South African musician, AKA, dropped dead on the streets from assassin’s bullets.
