Watch Shauwn Mkhize Defend Son Andile Mpisane’s Soccer Skills On Metro FM

One thing that has always been in contention is Andile Mpisane’s skill as a footballer and part of the Royal AM team. He is the chairman of that football club and also one of its players and captain.

Many South Africans have been saying that he is as unskilled as they come and that he is only a part of the team because he owns it (his mother Shauwn Mkhize owns it). It is often a common joke that he could just give himself a winning bonus each time his team beats their opponents or that he could take the captain band from anyone at any time.

But what does Shauwn Mkhize think about the narrative about her son? What does she think about his skills on the pitch? Those questions formed part of her interview on Metro FM’s “Sports Night Amplified.” During that sit-down, she defended her son and delved into a little history.

She noted that Andile Mpisane did not just pop into the Royal AM team but used to play for the AmaZulu development side when he was a child. She described him as a talented soccer player even though the public might not see him in the same light.
