Y, South Africa’s pioneering commercial radio outlet celebrated for its innovative approach and dedication to nurturing new talent, is excited to unveil its lineup for 2024, starting April 2nd.
This past year, Y has seen a surge in its audience base and a significantly enhanced brand image, thanks to its bold programming strategies.
Reflecting on this growth, Haseena Cassim, Y’s Managing Director, remarked, “Embracing our adventurous spirit, we reshaped our lineup last year, resulting in remarkable outcomes. The 2024/2025 schedule aims to build on this success, introducing vibrant new voices that perfectly complement our existing roster.”
The weekday schedule kicks off with Nia Brown, Mthaux, and Okay Wasabi, who bring their dynamic energy back to The Way Up, airing from 05:00 to 09:00. Weekends start strong with Tulz Madala hosting Kickstart Café on Saturdays and Sunday Feels on Sundays from 06:00 to 10:00, in addition to leading the pre-breakfast slot on weekdays with Breaking Dawn.
New to the weekend lineup, Shamiso Mosaka brings The Rizz to Saturday afternoons from 17:00 to 18:00, promising a fusion of global sounds. Cesare “Hype” Morey joins the Y family with Hype Factory on Friday nights from 21:00 to 00:00, spotlighting the finest global dance tracks.
