YouTube Unveils Lineup For The Africa Day Concert

A wave of excitement is currently sweeping across Africa as YouTube announces the lineup that will perform at the Africa Day Concert.

Managing Director, Emerging Markets, YouTube EMEA, Alex Okosi, noted that this year’s concert would feature artists from several countries, including Sierra Leone, Tanzania, South Africa, Nigeria and Congo.

He compared the concert to homage to the continent in the sense that it would showcase some of the continent’s brightest talents to the world. The show is YoutubeYouTube’s way of supporting talents in the continent.

Among the Nigerian artist slated to perform during the concert are Davido, D’banj, Mayorkun, Reekado Banks, and Yemi Alade.

On the South African side, the musicians expected to perform include the “SBWL” singers Kamo Mphela and Busiswa Gqulu.

On the Tanzanian side, WCB (Wasafi Classic Baby) artist Zuchu will be on the ground to thrill concertgoers.

The Congo isn’t left out, as one of its finest artists, Innoss’B, will wow concertgoers with his music as well.

The Africa Day Concert will be streamed live on May 25 at 6 pm, and those who want to join the Livestream are encouraged to do so via the link provided by the organisers: https://goo.gle/AfricaDayConcert.
