Iconic singer, and UNICEF ambassador, Yvonne Chaka Chaka calls for the spirit of Ubuntu.
Literally everyone in the world did not see the outcome of the Coronavirus coming. We were all hit in the face by it, and its spread has left us trying our best to stay safe and also alive.
Mzansi has been on a nationwide lockdown for days now and we are still going strong. Appearing on TV recently, iconic singer and UNICEF ambassador, Yvonne Chaka Chaka had a few words for the people. She called on everyone to practice the spirit of Ubuntu and lend one another a helping hand.
She is quoted saying,
“I think it’s time for introspection, it’s time for all of us to look out for each other and I think this is a great lesson to say we have to show Ubuntu at this particular time. Especially for those who need water and soap, they need our help and it is time for us to help them now”
She also took the time to sing the national anthem, dedicated to the people who have been affected by the virus.
