Zakes Bantwini To Host SA’s First Drive-in Concert

Zakes Bantwini set to host SA's first drive-in concert

Zakes Bantwini announces plans to host SA’s first ever drive-in concert.

The world as we know it is not what it used to be. The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a ban on gatherings all over the world prohibiting music concerts from happening. But, we hear that might be changing very soon.

Mzansi Disc Jockey and producer, Zakes Bantwini has plans to bring music concerts back to the country. However, he has something different in mind. The latest Havard student took to his Instagram page to reveal that he has plans to host SA’s first ever drive-in concert.

If you have no idea what that means, it means people would sit in their cars and watch live performances. He revealed he’s currently working with the government on how to stage a safe concert while practicing social distancing. He’s organising the concert with DJ Sox, Kgolo Daguru, and FJ Mshayi. It is expected to start with at least 50 cars with only two people in it, first in Durban, Joburg and then in Cape Town.
