Respected kwaito veteran Zola 7 pulled a surprise on Cassper Nyovest on stage when he gatecrashed the Family Tree rapper’s show, and the two of them ended up performing “Bongi Nkosi” Together on stage.
That pair had released that hit over a year ago as part of Cassper Nyovest’s “Any Minute Now” album. And when they performed the same song on stage over the Weekend in Rustenburg, the crowd went wild with excitement.
Zola shared that moment in a tweet, noting how he surprised his compatriot and how they ended up performing their hit number. Cassper shared the tweet, thanking the OG for showing up. They had a wonderful moment.

In his heyday, Zola 7 was one of the most visible faces in South Africa’s kwaito universe. He was known as much for his music as for helping those in need.
Of recent, though, he’d struggled with illness and, at some point, had to accept donations from the public to take care of his medical and other needs. It wasn’t an easy decision to agree to get help from external sources. But his fans really wanted to help, and they prevailed on him to accept their cash gifts. In the end, he did.
