South African music producer Zingah croons “Syobabona” alongside compatriots Loki and Musiholiq. It’s a meeting of fine hip hop voices, if you please.
As a title, “Syobabona” bears messages of hope and faith. But best believe this song is not gospel and has no proselytizing lines to it. And you can rock it all day without boredom intruding.
Zingah’s name appears to ring the most in the world of South African music production. But now and again, the songster unleashes numbers that are more like fresh water on the soul.
One such single is of course the number in review. It follows the release of “Ubsantusantu” in collaboration with Blxckie, as well as two milestones in his career as a musician.
The first is that his song “Dlala” had gone gold, and Zingah himself had clinched a recording deal with Vth Season. With the charms of “Syobabona,” one may well say the songster is on the way to another career milestone.
By the way, Zingah had shared a teaser of the said song before officially releasing it. Looking back, one may say the wait for the song ha been worth it. You gotta experience the liberating power of this number. Just open your soul to it.
