AKA’s Business Partner Raphael Benza Says on He Knew The Rapper Would Be The Biggest Talent In South Africa

AKA’s business partner Raphael Benza reminisces about always knowing the rap star would be the greatest talent in South Africa.

We all need someone who believes in us. AKA’s business partner, Vth Season’s Raphael Benza, has spoken about how he knew AKA would be the greatest talent in the country. The label head took to his Instagram page and posted his signed vinyl copy of the late rapper’s second studio album, “Levels,” and wrote that AKA’s name alone made him believe in him.

“I’ve been asked how I knew he was going to be the greatest talent South Africa has ever seen. One of the reasons is because he named himself AKA,” wrote Benza.

“Can you even imagine what sort of imagination and foresight as a young teenager to name yourself AKA at the time? What an icon you are.”

AKA began his rap career in the early 2000s. He started as a part of Entity and then I.V League. Later, in the late 2000s, he kicked off his solo career. His first studio album, “Altar Ego,” was released in 2011. Through the years, he became a force to reckon with the SA Hip Hop scene. The rapper passed away on 10 February 2023 after being shot in the head in Durban.
