Ami Faku Drops Music Video For Imali, Featuring Blaq Diamond

The visuals for Ami Faku’s song “Imali” is out. It features the guests who made the audio as well, Blaq Diamond, a South African band of two, part of the house of Ambitiouz Entertainment.

Notable record label Vth Season premiered the music video via its YouTube channel 11 hours ago. The video is symbolic and undeniably rich in imagery, taking the viewer through the gutters of inequality in South Africa, where 10 per cent of the country’s population (whites) control about 90 percent of the country’s wealth.

It may have been decades since the abolition of apartheid, but what has changed? What could be changed and needs to be changed? Well, you have to watch this video, which is didactic and provocative in equal measure.

By the way, “Imali” is the eponymous track of Ami Faku’s album. It also happens to be one of our favourites in the compilation. You gotta watch the video and let the songstress treat you to the best of her creative imagination. The experience will be with you a long time. Best believe.

Well, how would you rate the video? We encourage to watch it below and join the conversation by dropping your thoughts in the comment section.
