In a move that left most of his compatriots shocked, South Africa’s presidential hopeful Duduzane Zuma has revealed that he doesn’t own a bank account or medical aid in South Africa. Now that’s pretty puzzling for those who know him not only as former president Jacob Zuma’s son but also as one who spends most of his time in the country.
But what happened? Could this have been something he initiated himself? Well, he shared all the details during a recent podcast appearance. According to Dudiuzane, it wasn’t something he planned or initiated. He merely found himself in that situation.
In his own words: “I’m not in the system. I’m not in the financial system in South Africa. I was kicked out. It started at the end of 2015 when the first bank sent me notifications of my account being closed.” The revelation was as shocking as can be imagined for South Africans and they shared their thoughts about the same.
