Beloved Simpsons Character ‘Killed Off’ After 35 Years

Fans are in shock after a beloved minor character in The Simpsons, Larry the Barfly gets killed off.

Imagine embracing a character since childhood and growing up with it, and later watching it die on one of your favorite shows. That pain and hurt is what every fan of The Simpsons all over the world is feeling right now.

Larry the Barfly, a minor character has been part of the series since the very first episode in 1989 – “Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire”. You might call him a big part of the show. However, in the latest episode of the iconic series “The Simpsons: Cremains of the Day”, it was killed off. Harry was a part of the show for 35 years.

Larry, a part of a boozy bunch that included well-known characters, like Homer’s friends Lenny, Carl and Barney, was usually spotted in scenes set in Moe’s Tavern, the dive bar that Homer frequented. However, on this episode, he dropped dead in the tavern.

Fans are sad that the barstool at Moe’s Tavern will now be left empty. One fan wrote, “I’m over 30 and younger than 40..been watching the Simpsons all my life and just discovered the name of the guy that sits in the bar is named Larry.”

Another reacted, “I can’t believe they killed off Larry Dalrymple on The Simpsons last night. #RIPLarry”
