Crocs Ventures Beyond the Ankle With Cowboy Boot Design

Footwear Giant Introduces Western-Inspired Design Complete with Spin-able Spurs

In a bold move that has taken the fashion world by surprise, Crocs, the renowned footwear company, is set to launch its very own cowboy boot this month. This new design is not just a mere extension of the brand’s iconic clogs but showcases a high shine croc-embossed texture complemented by bold western-inspired stitching.

One of the standout features of this boot is the unique metallic Jibbitz charms it boasts. But what truly sets it apart is the first-of-its-kind spin-able spur charm attached to the backstrap of the shoe. To add a touch of brand identity, the rivet detail of the boot showcases the iconic black and white Crocs logo of Duke, the brand’s beloved crocodile mascot. However, this time, Duke is donning a cowboy hat, indicating the brand’s foray into the wild west of fashion.

According to the company, this cowboy boot design has been a much-anticipated release, with many regular Crocs wearers expressing their desire for such a product. The boots will be available for purchase from 23 October, both on the company’s official website and in select Crocs retail stores. This limited-time offering is priced at $120 (£98).

Crocs, as a brand, has witnessed a diverse range of wearers, from renowned artist David Hockney to music sensations like Stormzy and Post Malone. The brand’s versatility was further highlighted when Hockney paired them with a Savile Row suit during a royal dinner. Over the years, Crocs have transitioned from being considered mere workwear staples to becoming fashion statements, with unique designs like the faux fur-lined black Crocs being named bestsellers.

The company’s success is evident in its sales figures. As of the quarter ending 30 September 2022, Crocs reported sales nearing the $1bn (£820m) mark, solidifying its position in the footwear industry.
