South African media personality Dineo Ranaka has seemingly suggested that her stint at Kaya FM was what actually provoked her depression recently.
Not long ago, when she was with Kaya FM, she had posted about being depressed and suicidal. By her own account, she would have taken her own life but for fear of what might happen to her children.
Along the line, she was reportedly given a leave of absence to take care of her health. Around the same period, rumours started flying that she was in talks with the station to let her exit and face other issues. But she denied the rumours, claiming that she was relieved of her place at the station.
Anyway, she has formally exited the station, but her memories about the place are still fresh and not the best. This much was exemplified by her reference to a post by author Mome Mahlangu, who had advised her followers to go beyond praying for a new job but also pray for a work environment that will not give them depression.
Dine Rankaka acknowledged the post, noting that was what she failed to pray for when she switched to Kaya FM, and the result was there for all to see.
