DJ Sbu Talks “Black Tax” In New Clip (Watch)

Conversations around “black tax” have been around for as long as we can remember. From the look of things, it is doubtful that the conversation will ever go away.

As far as Africans travel to Europe, the Americas and other areas and remit funds to family members back home in Africa, the conversation will always crop up across the continent.

Anyway, South African musician DJ Sbu has just shared his thoughts on the black tax debate. pointing out that there is nothing like black tax. He argued that people coming from Africa and perhaps making it elsewhere should never feel like they are paying “black tax” when they remit money home.

The former Metro FM host made his thoughts known in a clip which is currently making the rounds online. You can check it out below.

His words resonated with a lot of people, who took to the comment section to share their support for what he said.

It might be said that this latest opinion has shifted attention from the storm he provoked when he noted that he supported DJ Maphorisa for saying he retains the copyright to other people’s music if such was produced in his studio, whether he wrote the song or not.
