It is another season of controversy for Jacob Zuma’s daughter Duduzile. She is facing a lot of criticism over her take on her father’s recent position.
Jacob Zuma, Duduzile’s father, is known to be a chieftain of the ruling African National Congress. However, with the formation of the uMkhonto weSizwe political party, he had made it known that he would be voting for uMkhonto weSizwe despite being a member of the ANC.
Known for her controversial takes, Dudu (as she is fondly called) took to social media where she not only amplified her father’s message but shared her support for his decision.
It turned out South Africans (most of them anyway) were unimpressed with her action and they criticised her for it. Being a member of one political party while working against it at the polls is not something they think makes sense or creates party harmony.
Does Dudu care about the criticisms of her? probably not. This is but one of many times where she had courted controversy with her takes. And it is doubtful this would be the last.
Interestingly, Dudu’s brother Duduzane Zuma is himself gearing up to contest for the president of South Africa in 2024. Would Zuma vote against his son?
