The popular series House of Zwide has just got a new cast member in Tsholo Matshaba, and there is palpable excitement over this.
Tsholo Matshaba is a notable actress who had distinguished herself in several films, most notably The River – easily one of the most popular South African soapies out there. It was cancelled after six seasons, so Matshaba will have the time to take on her new role.
According to Etv’s House of Zwide, the actress will play the role of Mampho’s mother. The confirmation of her role was seen in a clip of her speaking with her on-screen daughter, Gaisang Noge. In a post on Twitter, Bomb Productions shared the clip, which you can check out below.

Multiple reports indicate that the next episode would see Mampho and Matshaba with the same ambition of stopping the Zwide wedding. Whether they would succeed in their plan is unclear at this point.
However, the fact that Matshaba is part of the cast of the popular series has already hyped her fans across South Africa and South Africans generally. They are convinced she is fit for the role. And yes, they can’t wait to see her bring the role to life. Stay tuned.
