Jennifer Lopez reveals she did not plan on getting back with her ex Ben Affleck.
Jennifer Lopez is the name on everyone’s lips right now. Her new film is buzzing, and the reviews have all been positive. The star recently spoke about getting back together with her ex, Ben Affleck, after their failed engagement in 2004.
Speaking on the Australian show, “Kyle and Jackie O Radio Show,” she revealed that she needed to figure herself out after they parted ways many years back. She said,
“I fell in love with the love of my life [earlier in life] , and for whatever reasons that we needed to grow and do other things. We both went off and had children with other people and other relationships, but you know, in my mind, I kind of had it like ‘Oh, that was kind of the one.’ ”
JLo and Ben Affleck began dating in 2002 and got engaged in the same year. They postponed their wedding in 2004 and later parted ways. Both went on to marry other people and had two children, each with them, Jennifer with Mark Anthony, and Affleck with Jennifer Garner.
The couple reunited in 2021 and married in 2022. Lopez said, “I couldn’t believe it, and I don’t think he could either. It’s not something we ever planned. We really had moved on with our lives, but when we reconnected, it was almost instant and we just knew.”
