The tag of a slay queen is not one many people would be proud to carry around because of the negative connotations. For many, a slay queen is none other than an easy hoe, out there and ready to do anything with anyone for money, while also flaunting the same lifestyle online.
But should the same description be applied to South African actress Khanyi Mbau? She has just been “hailed” as an OG (old guard) and original slay queen who opened the doors for others.
The “unravelling” followed a question by an X user, who wanted to know who the original slay queens were in South Africa. Well, another South African was in line to share who he believes that person is.
Sharing the post, the X user Dinledi pointed out that the honour of the original slay queen goes to Khanyi Mbau. To back up his claim, he shared a picture of her and her erstwhile lover-turned-husband Mandla Mthembu.
