He is one of the staunchest critics of the ruling African National Congress. With every opportunity he has comes a critical shot at the party and its stalwarts that he doesn’t agree with.
Recently, it was understood that he was trolling the former speaker of parliament Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, when he posted that “Snakes can’t protect you when your time has come.”
The reference was to a huge snake that was discovered in the embattled former speaker’s home while she was wanted by the authorities for bribery and corruption.
The latest information is that Nosiviwe has handed herself over to the police. Allegedly, she had requested for and received over R2 million in bribes. Now the law is about to have her account for her action.
Even though Mmusi Maimanse didn’t mention the former speaker of parliament in his tweet, it was easily understood that she was the one he was speaking about, as you can see from the responses below.
