Details are still emerging on what exactly happened last Sunday morning when Nellie Tembe, fiancée to the South African rapper AKA, died.
Some witnesses, who had spoken out earlier, recalled hearing a loud sound, as of a car crashing, and then finding a woman in the streets.
Another witness had come out to state that she was naked, still breathing, when she was found in the streets, apparently after falling from the 10th floor of the Pepperclub Hotel In Cape Town.
Medics had stormed the scene and tried to save her on the spot, but her condition deteriorated and she died before she could be taken to the hospital.
The report of her death ha sent shock waves across South Africa, as many had not seen it coming, especially so as Nellie had had a great evening with AKA and friends, dancing and laughing, just a day before she plunged to her death.
Her passing left AKA disconsolate. But he was able to steel himself and accompany her body to Durban via the King Shaka International Airport yesterday 14 April. A memorial will be held in Nellie Tembe’s honour today 15 April.
The date of her funeral has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
