The parents of South African media personality Mpho Popps recently reached a milestone of 21 years married. of course, in such instance, there is bound to be a celebration. That was exactly what happened.
In a post on his official Instagram page, Mpho shared a picture of his parents together and celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary. The picture showed a white man and a Black woman.
In the caption, he pointed out that their love story is truly inspiring. The said white man, Mpho’s father, is Danish. So the media personality said, anyway.
Mpho’s post was a big surprise to many South Africans, including Sizwe Dhlomo. Many of them thronged the comment section of the post he made celebrating his parents, sharing their curiosity.
Some just would not believe that his father was Danish. Some joked that he is another version of Trevor Noah. And yet some said that was probably why he and the named Popps.
Either way, out in the public right now id the identity of Mpho’s parents and the public has a better understanding of where they came from, as well as their love story. Well, congratulations are in order for Mpho’s parents, having made it to two decades and a year as a married couple.
