Mpho Xaba, Zahara’s Fiancé, Raises Questions About His Feelings For The Singer During His Memorial Service Speech

Mpho Xaba, widely known as Zahara’s fiancé, spoke during his lady’s memorial service. The “Loliwe” hitmaker died on Monday, 11 December 2023, after being cared for by Xaba, her family, and the compassionate hospital personnel.

Social media users, however, were left with different impressions of Xaba’s emotions after his address at his fiancée’s funeral. Zahara’s fiancé, Mpho Xaba, was earlier requested to speak at her funeral service following the arduous weeks of her unexpected hospital stay before her untimely death.

Speaking from the podium, Xaba described how he and Zahara met and how they became acquainted by exchanging personal stories according to a video that Newzroom Afrika posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Mpho Xaba’s speech did not persuade social media users that he truly felt anything for Zahara or that he had any genuine intentions. Many claimed he sounded cold and others alleged he wasn’t that into Zahara.

Meanwhile, at the event, hit songs by Zahara played in the background, greeting guests to her memorial ceremony, which was held on December 23 in East London, Eastern Cape, as a final act of respect for the late artist.

People flocked to say goodbye to her, including big figures from the music industry like Unathi, Ringo Madlingozi, and her close friend and fellow singer Vusi Nova. Her cherished guitar was also on display in the middle of the stage during the funeral.
