Professional footballer Sadio Mane is facing severe flak over his choice of a partner, with some netizens condemning him for picking a “minor” as a bride.
Over the weekend in Dakar, the former Liverpool star had gotten married to his bride, 18-year-ol Aisha Tamba. The ceremony stood out for its lavishness and drew the famous and the ordinary folks alike.
Family, friends, and fellow footballers were on the ground to support the Al-Nassr star on his special day.
According to reports, Aisha is from his hometown in Senegal and he started pursuing her when she was 16. However, it wasn’t until she turned 18 that he asked her to be his bride.

The objections obviously count for nothing, as the footballer married her within the acceptable legal age and not as a minor.
