SA Hip Hop star Sjava has landed a role in the new BET Africa series, “Queendom.”
Sjava keeps counting blessings. 2023 was a massive year for the SA Hip Hop artist who was credited for his work to new massive albums that earned praise from fans. The star is still making moves this year.
Sjava landed a role in the new BET Africa series, “Queendom.” He is set to play Prince Mkhuseli Khahlamba, the firstborn son of King Banzi. Sjava is set to star alongside famous actors Sindi Dlathu, Linda Mtoba, and more. Sindi and Linda will be playing a mother-and-daughter duo.
BNN Breaking writes that “Dlathu’s character Tholakele Mthombeni embodies the strength and complexities of a mother’s love, while Mtoba’s character Nthandokayise Mthombeni confronts the challenges of discovering a life-altering family secret.”
Speaking about his role in the new series, Sjava said, “Being a part of Queendom has been a beautiful experience. I’m honoured to be part of something that pays homage to African culture, and I’m honoured to have been able to contribute a piece of my music to the narrative.”
Sjava will reportedly sing the soundtrack of the series. The new series showcases the resilience of women. It also shows the incredible bond between a mother and a daughter.
