BET award winner Sjava has just disclosed he is no longer a fan of Mzansi football club Kaizer Chiefs. He made this revelation to satisfy the curiosity of a fan who questioned him.
According to Sjava, he no longer supports the club because most of the players he admires have either died or have left the club. In other words, his support for the club was hinged on his football heroes playing with the Chiefs.
Incidentally, he also disclosed he was a footballer once upon a time. Growing up, according to him, he knew he would either end up a footballer or a musician. He said he used to play for Hillbrow Action Killers, coached by Bab’ Khuzwayo, and even trained at Witts.
Of the two driving dreams of childhood, music apparently triumphed, and Sjava is famous today as one of the fine trappers in Mzansi, with a couple of awards to his day. Not only is he famous as a musician, he has just joined the league of record label owners in Mzansi with the setting up of 1020 Cartel in collaboration with Ruff.
Do you think Sjava would have made a great footballer if he hadn’t veered into music?
