Somizi Addresses Cassper Nyovest Dress Code Failure- ‘It was not his fault’

Somizi defends Cassper Nyovest against trolls who criticise him for wearing a different colour to Somizi's wedding.

South African TV presenter, Somizi Mhlongo, has defended the rapper, Cassper Nyovest, against those who are attacking him for not adhering to the theme of the wedding.

Some months before Somizi and Mohale tied the knots, they announced that on their wedding day, guests should appear in white and red bottom shoes.

However, people were shocked when the talented rapper graced the wedding, dressed in black and blue. He gave the excuse that he was informed of the wedding theme late.

Cassper Nyovest was shaded by critics and trolls, who believed that the rapper was disrespectful.

Surprisingly, Somizi Mhlongo has come out to defend his friend, Cassper. He shared a video where he stated that Cassper did not comply to the dress code unintentionally. He revealed that Cassper wasn’t at fault because he was told that he would perform at the wedding but prior information about the dress code was not given to him.

Somizi has accepted the blame and promised that he would stand by Cassper Nyovest no matter what!

Somizi who got married to his partner, Mohale, has revealed why they decided that their wedding would be unplugged.

Invited guests had been earlier notified that smartphones and cameras will not be allowed at the wedding. The TV presenter explained on his Instagram page that they wanted the guests to enjoy the moment and share the day with fellow guests without any form of distraction.

Somizi Mhlongo wrote:

So when we decided to tell our wedding guests via Invites that there will be no phones or cameras allowed beyond the venue gates I’m sure most of them had a mini heart attack thinking how they are gonna get through the day without their phone.

The main reasons for that was so that people can engage with each other. Can enjoy every moment with their naked eyes. But also for us as grooms to have exclusive privacy of our day until everyone can get to witness it on @showmaxonline from the 24th February 2020.

We were also very considerate towards our guests as we gifted them with @instaxsa cameras to capture special memories for themselves #somhalewhitewedding The venue @inimitable_wv was too exquisite for the guests not to take any pics.

South Africans will be able to view ‘Somizi & Mohale: The Union,’ which is set to premiere on the 24th of February.
