Somizi might be finalizing his divorce from his estranged husband Mohale Motaung, but he doesn’t want the public thinking he’s in a new relationship just yet.
The former Idols SA judged had a good run with Mohale until an audio was leaked in which Mohale had revealed that Somizi assaulted him, among other “sins.”
The leaked audio generated a public outcry and ultimately led to Somizi losing his place as one of the judges of Idols SA.
Out again and mingling with the Boys, speculations are rife that he’s in a new relationship. And while some fans are already hailing him, others are wondering if he has indeed moved on.
Somizi is having none of the relationship nonsense, though. Reacting to those who are saying he’s in a relationship again, he had wondered out loud whether he’s no longer permitted to have male friends.
Somizi is one of the few openly hay South a African celebs out there. His sexual orientation notwithstanding, he’s also one of the most loved – especially because of his gift for drama and humor.
When it was announced that he wouldn’t be returning to Idols SA as one of the judges, the ratings of the reality show plummeted markedly.
