For almost everyone out there, the goal is to win, win, and win some more. There’s that overpowering feeling of excitement about winning something that everyone feels. Nigerian singer Tems has had that feeling multiple times.
Of particular significance to her, though, is her latest Billboard win. The Nigerian singer was honoured with Billboard’s Women in Music Breakthrough Award, which she accepted with a deeply moving speech.
In her speech, she emphasised the vitality of remaining determined despite challenges. According to her, people should try to remain strong and motivated, pushing on until they achieve their dreams.
She is obviously the right person to say this, being an example of what she herself is preaching to the public in her acceptance speech. A couple of years back, she was an unknown voice. But she never lost hope that she would one day glitter on the international music scene.
