Trinity University Wanted R15K from ex-Gagasi FM host Phumlani Dube

Ex-Gagasi FM and Ukhozi FM host Phumlani Dube says bogus university, Trinity wanted R15k from him in exchange for honorary PhD.

Radio presenter Phumlani Dube has spoken out about almost falling victim to the bogus university Trinity after Sello Maake kaNcube was awarded a fake PhD.

Taking to Facebook, he wrote,

“What happened to Sello Maake KaNcube almost happened to me. I was contacted by a “university” of Pinetown last year saying that they want to confer me with a doctorate for my role in making a difference in society through the Phumlani Dube Foundation.”

“I was so happy that I was going to be Dr Dube. However, things stopped making sense when they told me to start by paying R15 000 for catering for the day of my graduation ceremony. That’s when they gave it away and I suspected they were taking me for a ride. I ran away and told them to keep their doctorate!”

Sello Maake kaNcube’s new doctorate by Trinity Bible University brought so much scrutiny on the institution after Minister of Higher Education, Blade Nzimande announced that it was not running legitimately.

Reacting to the information, Sello shared a photo of himself and his wife at the event and wrote, “To all those who felt like they had something to say, here is my official response. Mess plus Age gives you a MESSAGE! Keep listening, Keep watching. Thank you all for your positive messages to these new developments.” He also gave a shout-out to his wife Pearl.
