Amapiano princess Uncle Waffles is reportedly vying for two Grammy nominations for her hit song “Yahyuppiyah” and the project “Asylum.”
There is no denying the fact that Uncle Waffles has had a great year. The famous Piano DJ has traveled the world, performing on the biggest stages and working with some of the most prominent names in the music business.
The star now wants to crown the year with Grammy nominations. Of course, who wouldn’t like that? Taking to her Instagram page, she revealed that she submitted her music for Grammy consideration. The Asylum album is being considered for the “Best Global Music Album” category, while her viral hit song “Yahyuppiyah” is being considered for “Best African Music Performance.”
Waffles wrote, “It’s been an amazing year, I’ve played 100+ international shows, and I’m soo greatful for everything that continues to happen in my life. Today marks the 2 year anniversary since my life changed and I’m in awe at what has happened since, and this part of my journey is even more exciting as I’m proud to Announce that I’m in the running for two Grammys nominations, I need my babysss to share this post for me🥹!!
