It’s a splendid start to the week as DJ Zinhle and TouchMuziq for a “Groove Cartel House Mix,” which you can stream here on UbeToo. It’s a meeting of champions who, despite not having an extensive collaborative history, have put together something worth hearing.
DJ Zinhle has been crowned the number 1 female DJ in Africa a couple of times. Despite her collaborator not having the same epaulets, there’s no doubting the musical synergy they share on this number.
For those not conversant with them individually and as a team, there is more than enough reason to want to see them together on the same project again.
What they have put together is not only intriguing, but liberating as well. And yes, it appeals enough to snag the attention of music lovers generally – whether they are into the genre ox expression.
For DJ Zinhle, who is not particularly into mixes, it’s like saying I can make splendid mixes, although my portfolio is not laden with mixes.
While you savor what’s already on the table, you may as well keep your eyes for more. A bottle of Boulevard Rose wouldn’t hurt at this point. It is from the songstress as well. Let the music begin.
