At last, and in keeping with her promise, South African singer Zahara treats fans to a new body of work titled “Nqaba Yam” album, which you can stream here on UbeToo, South Africa’s premier music and entertainment hub.
Although fans had to wait for this body of work, it is clear the wait has been worth it. The songstress creates an interesting musical experience with this body of work, which begins with an eponymous track and ends with “Iphupho Lam’.”
With this project, the songstress walked the solo path, co-opting no one. In all twelve songs, she opened her soul to the listener, making room for a deep musical bond with whoever would listen.
This compilation drops amid a little hilarity over a leaked video of a “drunk” Zahara singing. If the aim for leaking the video was to sabotage “Nqaba Yam” album, as someone had suggested, then we know it would not work. Zahara’s latest compilation is actually something to vibe with.
