Siya Kolisi knows what it feels like to lose, whether as part of a team or as a supporter of a team that was beaten. So he truly understands those on the losing side – in this case South Africa’s Bafana Bafana.
The team is fighting for glory in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON). In a match against their West African counterpart Mali, though, Bafana was bested on the pitch – beaten 2 goals to nil.
Of course, it felt bad to have lost the match against Mali. Siya Kolisi knows this, as does his friend and fellow Rugby play Trevor Nyakane.
To motivate their soccer compatriots, the two of them made a joint on Instagram in which they tried to pump the soccer team with motivation. They, Siya and Trevor, are with the team as they continue their campaign at AFCON.
Their loss, for now, does not mean the end of the world. But they can still fight it out and make it to the final. That is the dream for them. If they are able to make it is a different story entirely. See the post below.
