A statement released by his family indicated he died in Johannesburg in the early hours of yesterday, July 10. The family gave no clue about what exactly killed him but asked for privacy as they mourn his passing.

The news of his passing provoked incredulity in the hip-hop community as no one saw it coming. It has been raining condolences since, with the rapper’s friends and associates recalling their time with him and paying tribute to his memory.
