Anele Mdoda Shows Empathy Towards Basetsana and Romeo Kumalo

Media star Anele Mdoda has shown empathy for Basetsana and Romeo Kumalo for enduring so many court dates in order to get justice.

Anele Mdoda has always been one to speak her mind about things that do not sit right with her. She often shares her thoughts on trending topics and adds her voice to that of people who she feels cannot speak up for themselves or aren’t being heard enough.

The star recently took to the X app and reacted to the news of Basetsana and Romeo Kumalo’s court case against Jackie Phamotse, who made damning comments about the couple in 2018.

Mdoda felt sorry for the couple amid the ongoing court case. Phamotse was recently found guilty of defamation of character, crimen injuria, and violating a protection order. The case was postponed to the 26th of this month, and Mdoda criticized the justice system for numerous postponements.

Her heart went out to the Kumalos for having endured 51 court dates since 2018. She wrote,

“As in Bassie and Romeo have been put through enough. Enough bruh. 51 court dates!”

Mzansi reacted to the news, sharing their thoughts about the justice system. @realmsabza wrote,

“Ok, I understand ❤️. Unfortunately, that’s our court system, endless postponements etc. That’s why people get away with things, poor of our justice system.”
