Well, that was exactly what South African singer Babes Wodumo did on her birthday. She just turned 30 and decided to memorialise her birthday with a post.
Taking to her official Instagram page, the mother of one shared an old picture of her as a kid, standing in between her parents. In the caption to the post, she recalled it was her first birthday without her husband Mampintsha, who died about a year ago from a stroke.
She also noted the blessing of being alive to write something about her birthday. After all, not everyone gets to make it to 30 years. But here she is, 30, with a son, and generally doing well. You can check out the post below.
