Valentine’s Day has come and gone but the memories of that day are still pretty fresh for many people, including fans of the South African singer Babes Wodumo.
But why would her fans still be interested in what transpired on that day in her life? it isn’t like she has a lover in whose arms she luxuriated that day. On the contrary, it was another day of “loneliness” for her.
But then the “Wololo” hitmaker used the day well – or rather spent it well. It turned out to be a day of memorialising for the mother of one, who took to her official Instagram page to remember her late husband who died a year ago.
Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo died following a mild stroke, leaving Babes Wodumo a young widow. It was a blow she had not been coming and grieved deeply about it.
In the months since the tragedy, of course, she has been healing. When Valentine’s Day came, it was another opportunity for her to relive the beauty she shared with her husband when he was alive.
She left a deeply moving message, noting she would forever cherish the times they shared, as you can see below.
