Bafana Bafana Is R47 million Richer Following Quarter Finals Win

South African national club Bafana Bafana reportedly became R47 million richer after their win in the AFCON Quarter Finals.

TimesLIVE, in a recent report, wrote that Bafana Bafana will receive R47 million after reaching the AFCON (Africa Cup of Nations) semifinals on Sunday, 4 February morning.

According to sports news, the South African national club claimed victory in the AFCON Quarter Finals after defeating Cape Verde. Ronwen Williams was the star of the game as he assisted the club to qualify for the semifinals of the games for the first time in 24 years. Mzansi is still celebrating.

Ronwen Williams reportedly saved four penalties and sent South Africa to the semifinals for the 1st time in 24 years. They will be facing off against Nigeria in the semifinals on Wednesday, 7 February, at 19:00. Both countries have since been talking about the forthcoming match on social media.

Further reports reveal that Bafana Bafana will receive $7 million (R132 million) if they win the 2024 AFCON. They will get $4 million (R75 million) if they lose in the finals.

Fans have also reacted to the game. @LwaziLam wrote, “Even in 2019, Bafana could have qualified for the semi’s after beating Egypt, the host, in the quarter finals, but Sundowns and Chiefs players didn’t want to pass Lorch the ball in that game.”
