It was a night of dashed hopes and gnashing of teeth as some faves were evicted from the Big Brother Mzansi house. And this only affirms the truth that early momentum in the house does not translate to winning ultimately.
In the eviction held at the weekend, three faves, Thato, Sis Tamara and Terry, were sent home from the show, never to see the R2 million prize.
All three were favourites at some point, with Sis Tamara being of particular attention at the outset. Yeah, he snapped attention from the beginning, but the hype about him soon died down – or instead, he was swallowed by the sheer power of Themba’s personality, and what add you.
With their exit, they are no longer in the running for the Prize money but can still leverage the fame they got from the Big Brother house to establish themselves.
Five housemates are now left in Biggie’s house, Mphowabadimo, Themba, Gash1, Tulz and Libo. And either of them will go home with the star prize. Most viewers think that either Mpho Wabadimo, Gash1, or Themba will go home with the prize.
But then the least favoured could pull off some surprises. That will be decided next weekend, April 3.
