Celebrated international disc jockey Black Coffee showed his generous side to a compatriot and fellow musician, Dr Malinga, who was struggling financially and Mzansi couldn’t keep calm.
Of course, he wasn’t the only one who made contributions to Dr Malinga. Still, he stood out for the donation he made – reportedly R500k, apparently a record from the list of those who elected to help the embattled musician.
Dr Malinga recently spoke about his financial challenges and made it known he’s open to receiving help from those in a position to give him a hand. He dropped his account detail, and then the money started raining in no time from fans and other celebs alike.
For Black Coffee’s donation to have been singled out for mention shows that he dropped something substantial in the bag. Neither the DJ nor Dr Malinga has specified how much was donated, however.
Another celeb who elected to help was Makhadzi, but she did hers differently. She added Dr Malinga as a supporting act in her one-woman show. She also clarified in her post that she wouldn’t take advantage of him.
From the look of things, Dr Malinga should be in a better state than he was before he asked for help.
