Buhlebendalo Mda Exits The Soil After 18 Years

Mzansi singer Buhlebendalo Mda has left the group The Soil after 18 years, while the group has announced a new member and a forthcoming album.

We all know that nothing lasts forever. Since last year, we have seen popular music groups announce their split to pursue solo careers. We also recently heard that singer Nhlanhla Mafu had left Mafikizolo to pursue a solo career.

According to new reports, Buhlebendalo Mda is the latest singer to do that. We have always known the singer to be a part of the famous group The Soil. However, the group has announced that she will leave to pursue a solo career and focus on other ventures.

They revealed that she left on excellent terms and that a suitable replacement had been found. The group announced Their Matshoba as the new member.

Their statement reads, “The Soil fans are in for a treat when it introduces Theo Matshoba, whose vocal prowess is a breath of fresh air. Theo who came up tops when The Soil went on a search for a female vocalist to fill in during Buhle’s spiritual sabbatical is now officially the 3rd member of the group.”

They have also announced a forthcoming album. Read the full statement below.
