It appears like veteran actress Deli Malinga and the producers of the popular soapie “Ukhokha: The Curse” have finally settled their differences after all and she will be making her return to the set.
The much-loved actress, who played the popular character MaMzobe, had reportedly left the series over money issues. Allegedly, her character was written out of the series as a result of both parties being unable to reach an agreement over money (the details are still sketchy).
However, in a move that excited many fans of the series, it was revealed that she will be coming back on set after all. While the production thought it no longer needed her character and was prepared to let her go over money issues, stronger forces prevailed for her to remain on the series.
Reason? She has become very popular in the series and letting her go just like that will hurt the numbers. So, for the sake of viewership, the producers may have to agree to her demands and retain her for the next episode. That’s what’s just happened.
At this point, though, the actress has yet to address the news of her return to the set. So fans can only watch and wait.
