There’s a new feud brewing in the SA Hip Hop industry. Mzansi DJ, D Double D and Da L.E.S have reportedly parted ways. According to new reports, the popular hit makers were recently caught in an altercation where the former was assaulted.

Double D took to his social media pages to announce that he had opened an assault case against Da L.E.S. According to him, he is following the case with keen interest and wouldn’t want to share much on the matter. He has also stated that he is currently trying to heal “physically and emotionally from the traumatic experience”.

I would like to confirm that I will be cutting all ties with @2freshles I kindly ask everyone to respect my privacy during this tough time. I will continue to work through my own company Mount Blanc Media & would like to assure all my other clients that we continue as normal.

The two are known to have worked together in the past. They created the hits “Yeah”, “One For The Team”, and “Beauty And The Beast”. It is unclear what happened between them. See DJ Double D’s statement below

Statement from Dylan James Eksteen (DJ D Double D)

01 November 2021

It is with deep sadness to state that I was indeed an unfortunate victim of assault from Leslie Mampe JR, commonly known as Da L.E.S and that I have since opened a case with the South African Police Service against the culprit, which I am following with keen interest.

I do not wish to comment on this matter any further. I respectfully request some space as I try to find a way to heal both physically and emotionally from this traumatic experience. I have complete faith in our criminal justice system & wish to get the matter resolved.

Yours sincerely,

DJ D Double D.
